End of the Year Benefits

We hope this update finds you well and enjoying a pleasant fall/early winter. We are writing to remind you to schedule your cleaning, exam, or treatment recommended soon, in order to fully utilize your 2009 dental benefits and/or healthcare flexible spending account, which will expire at the end of December.
Unlike medical insurance, healthcare flexible spending accounts and most dental benefits do not roll over to the following year. As such, any unused benefit dollars for 2009 are typically lost. If you are uncertain about the status of your dental benefits, we will be happy to contact your carrier on your behalf.
We understand that financial challenges can prevent some of our patients from having the dental care they desire. Many of our patients are taking advantage of our payment plans offered through ChaseHealthAdvance and CareCredit. If you would like to explore using this option, our front office team will be happy to help you with the application process.

Dentistry from the Heart,
On Saturday, September 12th, Dr Tom Stone, Dr. Ryan Redfearn, Dr. Paul Wyeman, and myself hosted a free day of dentistry. Some people slept in their cars in the parking lot in order to make sure they would be seen. We anticipated that we would see around 150 patients. We ended up seeing 199 and providing over $53,000 in dentistry. When the first patient of the day that we helped got up from the chair she was in tears. She hugged both myself and the assistant, Andy. She went out and got a card and flowers and immediately brought them back to the event. I was overwhelmed the whole day with the amount of gratitude shown by the patients and the 13+ hours of hard work put in by the volunteers. This is why I became a dentist. We hope that this will be an annual event involving more and more people every year. I will post some pictures when available. Again, I want to extend a big thanks to my staff and the other volunteers who worked so hard all day, some in the freezing rain outside. I know that we made a difference in people's lives. I feel so grateful for what I have been blessed with and I am glad that I was able to give back.
Thanks,
Dr. Trent Redfearn
